In a metro area buzzing with 6.1 million people, Abraham Alonso is living his best life. Born and raised in Miami-Dade County, Abraham was raised on family values and block party cookouts.
He’s experienced firsthand what it’s like to help neighbors in need. At FIU, he’s splitting his time between the chemistry lab and the Red Cross Disaster Team. He volunteers at West Kendall Baptist Hospital, working to help families who have lost everything and administering free health checks to community members who need them.
He lives a life of real impact sharing ideas with classmates, collaborating with community partners and working to maintain his 3.8 GPA.
